Catch of the Day, by Kristan Higgins

I just finished this book and wanted to recommend it for those who like Susan Mallery and Rachel Gibson. It has romance and comedy. There were some parts that you just had to laugh out loud, and other parts that made my eyes water. This book is the author's first book, and really, I'm impressed, she did a very good job.

Its about this girl who is 31, the biological clock is ticking, and she owns a
diner in this little town in northern Maine. Wendy may get a kick out of their Mainish slang, they say "wicked" a lot. She meets this guy, falls for him, and after she tells the whole town about him, turns out he's the new Catholic priest in town. Needless to say, she's the butt of everyone's jokes in town. The story has family interactions, friend interactions, the heroine manages to get into these ridiculous situations making her the laughing stock of the town, but at the end she finally gets her man, the least one you expect. Lovely book, great laughs and lots of sentiment.
